Privacy

What we collect, what we don't, and what happens to anything you put into our tools.

The short version: we don’t run analytics, we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and the tools at tools.viridiancreations.net never upload your files. If you create an account, we keep only what we need to sign you in.

The tools

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. Files you drop into the file converter, the hash verifier, the metadata scrubber or the secret scanner, and anything you type into the password, QR, color or random picker tools, are processed on your device and never sent to us. There’s no server for them to be sent to.

Some tools remember your settings in your browser’s local storage. The timer, for example, saves its settings and session stats there. That data stays on your device and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Accounts and sign-in

You don’t need an account to use this site or the tools. If you do sign in, it goes through our own identity service, and we receive:

  • your name and email address
  • the account groups you belong to, which decide what you can access

Your password is handled only by the identity service. It never passes through this website.

Cookies and browser storage

We only set cookies that the sign-in system needs:

  • a session cookie that keeps you signed in across viridiancreations.net and its subdomains, which scripts on the page can’t read
  • short-lived security cookies used while a sign-in is in progress, to protect it from forgery

We also use your browser’s session storage to remember small things for the current tab, like having closed the “under construction” notice. There are no advertising, analytics or third-party cookies.

Hosting

Like any website, our servers and our network provider, Cloudflare, process technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don’t use this to build a profile of you.

Sharing

We don’t sell your information or share it with advertisers. It’s only shared with the services that run the site, as described above, or if the law requires it.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the bottom of this page.
